With the summer season, demand in hotels increases, requiring facilities to be conditioned and acclimatized to receive new guests, as well as preparing for summer events.
This is the case for a hotel located in Puig d’Valls (Ibiza). They contacted us because they needed an acoustic solution to condition one of their glass-walled rooms for parties and events, isolating this area from other guests enjoying their stay at the hotel.
The solution was the installation of a perimeter curtain system. This consists of two parts: on the inside of the room, a first line of curtains was made from a single layer of black velvet fabric, which already prevents a certain amount of reverberation or sound bounce within the room; on the outside, next to the glass (separated by an air chamber), a second line of 7-layer curtains, Everest Model, made of alternating Sella fabric and PVC, was responsible for absorbing sound and providing acoustic insulation for the room.
