With the summer season, demand in hotels increases, and they need to condition and acclimatize their facilities to receive new guests, as well as prepare for summer events.
This is the case for the hotel located in Puig d’Valls (Ibiza). They contacted us because they needed an acoustic solution to condition one of their glass-walled rooms for parties and events, isolating this area from other guests enjoying their stay at the hotel.
The solution was the installation of a perimeter curtain system. This consists of two parts: on the inside of the room, a first line of curtains was made from a layer of black velvet fabric, which already prevents a certain amount of reverberation or sound bounce in the room; and on the outside, next to the glass (separated by an air chamber), a second line of 7-layer curtains, Everest Model, made of alternating Sella fabric and PVC, responsible for absorbing sound and acoustically insulating the room.
